As with I'm sure is the case with most men, I was very apprehensive about self-catheterisation.
However, Marie put me at my ease by explaining the whole process.
She even encouraged me to do it myself for the first go.
Phone calls to see how it was going were very reassuring.
The best bit - I was able to pee normally on the second day!

I was nervous before the appointment and Marie made it easy for me. She explained everything step by step and I could call her anytime for advice. I thank her and other health care professionals.

I must admit that I was very anxious about this appointment, however from the very start Marie put me at ease. She explained all the equipment and procedures thoroughly to me.

After having had a catheter in place for several months I was referred to Fittleworth by my local NHS hospital for instruction in self-catheterisation. I had a home visit from Marie, who patiently explained the procedure and ensured that I had the confidence and ability to do it myself. Marie made me feel that she really wanted me to succeed, and she patiently answered all my questions and concerns. Her tact and professionalism were excellent.
